Our Pillars

The Mustafa Center Dignity House is a state-of-the-art Islamic funeral and bereavement facility established to serve Muslim families across Northern Virginia and the greater DMV region with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Located in Annandale, Virginia, MCDH was developed through the collaborative efforts of Mustafa Center and the Afghan Academy to address a growing community need for proper Islamic funeral services conducted in accordance with Sharia traditions.
Our Mission
For many years, Muslim families in Northern Virginia struggled to find funeral facilities that understood and accommodated Islamic burial practices. MCDH was created to provide:
- Providing dignified and respectful end-of-life care
- Supporting families during times of grief and loss
- Ensuring Islamic funeral rites are performed properly and promptly
- Serving all members of the community with compassion and professionalism
- Offering a peaceful environment for remembrance, prayer, and support
Our Services
- Proper washing and shrouding facilities
- Janazah preparation services
- Refrigeration and viewing accommodations
- Family gathering and prayer spaces
- Coordination with local cemeteries and burial services
- Guidance and support during difficult times
The project was approved by Fairfax County after years of community advocacy and support, reflecting the importance of this service to the growing Muslim population in the region.
